Dressing up a Dresser

Another project! I needed a piece of furniture for my living room.

One to hold the plethora of toys that my little boy plays with downstairs.

I had this old dresser (I remembered to take the picture after I had already removed the FLASHY gold harware.)

I added a coat of Annie Sloan's chalk paint in "Paris Grey." Should I mention I'm OBSESSED with this paint? No priming. No sanding. Heaven.

A bit of distressing....

(I also painted and distressed the hardware.)

Just the look I was going for.

I got the idea to clip pictures to this old shutter I had from my friend Whitney (the girls KNOWS pitctures!)

And I found this old finial at The Depot in Concord. I love it and it was perfect for the dresser!

The room is comfy for playing...

.....and resting. :)

HAPPY TUESDAY!

  3. Really pretty color- I just bought a dresser over the weekend that I'd like to do in this kind of gray. I wish there wasn't a stockist that was over 4 hours away!! Your photos of your kidlet and pooch are so cute! Thanks for sharing!
