Holiday Decorating with Bittersweet Vine

I have a new love. I went to a farmer's market in Mooresville, NC and discovered Oriental Bittersweet Vine. I was paying for my purchases when I saw someone carrying brilliantly colored branches of berries out. I immediately added two bunches to my purchase, but didn't have a clue what I would do with them.

When I got home I put them in these vintage gallon jugs and secured them by tying a piece of twine to the handle of the jug. I was able to make these "swooping" shapes and hold them in place. They add a splash of fall color and are so unique!

  2. Courtney,

I live in NJ where last weekend's snowstorm took down many trees. My daughter and I were out walking a few hours ago when we came across a large broken branch covered in Oriental Bittersweet. When we got home we grabbed some clippers, gardening gloves and jumped in the car. We were able to get several beautiful vines. I was googling how to decorate them and I came across your website. Thank you for your great idea!
